Senior Cadey Maness has signed a letter of intent to play golf at Shorter University in Rome, Georgia next year.

Maness is a four-year starter on the golf team, and received many accolades for her accomplishments.  As a freshman, she was named Rookie of the Year with an 88 average, and earned medalist one time.  She and her teammates finished as District Champs, and she was named to the All District Team.  They also finished as Region 7 Runners-Up that year. As a sophomore, Maness finished third in the region to qualify for the state tournament, and was named to the Jackson Sun All West TN Golf Team.  In her junior year, Maness started the season with a career best tournament score of 74 and Runner-Up finish at the Lawrence County Invitational, and ended the season as the District 13 Girls Champion and All-District, and a 3rd place finish in the region to qualify again for the state tournament. She was named as the Season MVP and Post-Season MVP.   Maness finished 2nd at the District Tournament in her senior season, and qualified for the state tournament for the third year.

Maness plans to major in Accounting, with plans to earn a Masters degree and become a Certified Public Accountant.  Her favorite memory was winning the Hardin County Invitational this year, and the matches with Kami Adkins and Cheyenne McCormick in her sophomore year.

Maness is the daughter of Joey and Bridgett Maness.  She is also pictured with Barbara Maness (Mamaw), Joan and John Bradford (grandma and B.B.), and several friends.
