Thanks to everyone who made this tour possible for our future educators!

Students from Mrs. Chandler's business classes attended the Discover Accounting event held at Union University on Monday, September 16, 2024. The event was sponsored by the Tennessee Society of CPAs. Students heard from Union professors about their accounting and business programs, Union graduate students regarding internships, and a panel of local CPAs concerning available jobs in our area. They ended the day with a campus tour. Pictured here with Buster, the Union Bulldog mascot, are Wyatt Todd, Carson Paul, Lilli Coats, Cadey Maness, Addie Tull, Kylie Mills, and Mrs. Lisa Chandler.
Mrs. Hurst’s classes have been researching healthcare issues Americans are facing and how each president candidate plans to fix or manage the issues. Over the last three weeks, students have researched and brought only facts, not opinions, to the debate held on Wednesday, September 11. After the debate, students voted for the president candidate of their choice by only considering healthcare issues. Mrs. Hurst said, "This assignment was to teach our future healthcare workers how to make evidence-based decisions. I am so proud of my kids. "
