2026 Case Stone Signs with Roane State
Senior Case Stone has signed a letter of intent to play baseball at Roane State Community College next year. Stone is a three-sport athlete, playing football, basketball and baseball all four years of his high school career. Some of his achievements include being named to the All-Tournament Team for baseball in 2024 and being nominated for the Male Athlete of the Year for the MCHS Sports Hall of Fame each year. He has played catcher and 1st baseman, as well as pitched for the Diamond Cats, and as quarterback on the gridiron. On the basketball court, he directs the team from the point guard position.
Stone plans to major in Sports Management, with hopes of becoming a professional baseball player. His favorite memory was hitting a two-run homer in the bottom of the sixth inning against Hardin County last year.
Stone is the son of Leavy and Brandy Stone, and has siblings Garrett Stone and Emma Stone. Also pictured are nephew Easton Powell, Sue Montgomery (MoodyMaw), Aunt & Uncle Melissa and Dee Montgomery, and Carla Hall (Mammy). The signing event was also attended by the coaching staff of all three sports - Athletic Director & baseball coach Brian Franks, baseball coaches Sidney Rickman and Blain Suitor, Football coaches Justin Truett (and Suitor), and basketball coach Stacy Riley, as well as MCHS Principal Jason Newman. There were many junior high and travel ball coaches there to congratulate Stone as well as his teammates from all three sports.
