Veteran's Day Ceremony

The Bobcat Community Service Club hosted an appreciation ceremony in honor of our nation's veterans on November 13, 2009. Several veterans were in attendance as club members led the student body in the pledge to the flag, the playing of the national anthem, and an explanation of the tune and lyrics for "Taps." BCSC Vice-President Tyler Stanfield emceed the event. Roll call for McNairy County veterans, both present and those unable to attend, was called by BCSC secretary Olivia King. The ceremony ended with the playing of "Taps" by Bobcat Band Director Ryan Foret. Those veterans who attended, along with their families, were invited to a reception after the ceremony.
