- Create the table shown below. Key the main and secondary headings in the
document above the table.
- Apply the List 4 AutoFormat to the table. Select AutoFit.
- Apply center alignment to column B.
- Save the finished file as Exercise 5-1a.

5.2 Add Borders and Shading to Tables

- Choose all for the border style. Apply a 1/2 point, black, double-line
border to row 1.
- Apply gray 20% shading with a clear pattern to row 1.
- Center align column B
- Center align and bold row 1
- Save the finished file.
5.3 Revise Tables

- Save Exercise 5-3a to your folder.
- Delete row 5, beginning Rogers, Arlene C.
- Add the following entries, placing the names in alphabetical order with
the other names in the table:

- Delete column D
- Change the Table AutoFormat from grid 1 to grid 8.
- Apply center alignment to the table
- Save the finished file.
Exercise B
- Create a table containing the data below. The table should extend the
full margin width.
- Center and bold the headings in row 1.
- Set a decimal tab for column B so that the numbers appear centered in
the column (approximately at position 2.25"). Set decimal tabs in a similar
manner for columns C and D.
- Save the finished file as Exercise 5-3b.

the other rows (approximately .44" on the vertical rler).
- Change the main heading in row 1 to 14 point, and center the text
vertically in the cell.

- Rotate the text in Row 1, columns B-G as shown in the table below.
- Adjust the height of row 1 so the text displays appropriately as shown
below.
- Center align the heading in cell A1.
- Adjust the width of column A to 3" and columns B-G to 0.5" each.
- Center the headings vertically in row 1.
- Save the finished file.
