Born in Rochelle, Illinois, John Joseph Friend was raised in Hardin and McNairy counties--attending schools in both areas, and he proudly enters his tenth year of teaching at MCHS. GO BOBCATS! John and his wife Stephanie are the proud parents of four boys ranging from ages 3 to 15, and the oldest two boys attend school in McNairy. John is about to complete his second masters degree--in history--from the University of North Alabama located in Florence, Alabama, and his masters thesis is on John Adams--first vice president and second president of the United States of America.
