BOBCAT COMMUNITY SERVICE CLUB

Club News

UPDATE:  Our first community service project was a great success.  Club members helped with the Women's Health Conference Dinner at the Selmer Civic Center.  Our Bobcat members helped set tables and serve guests.  Thanks for your volunteer work!

If interested, members can participate in the Broomcorn Festival to be held at Selmer City Park.  This is to help promote Arts in McNairy.  Sign up on the sheets posted outside Mrs. Miskelly's and Ms. Atkins' doors.  The event is this Saturday, September 15, from 9:00 to 5:00.  Please be there at 8:45.

SUPPORT OUR TROOPS!!!!!!!

Attention:  All Freshmen through Seniors!

The Bobcat Community Service Club members are collecting items to be shipped to our troops overseas.  These will be part of our Christmas packages given to them in December.  We are working with sponsors, CASH EXPRESS, and JACKSON HEWITT to let our service men and women we care.  Please bring any of the following items to your homeroom and these will be delivered to the sponsors.  Collection will start next Monday, September 17, and continue for two weeks.  Please ask neighbors and friends to help with the collection.  All you have to do is bring items to your homeroom!!!  The hard candy and ziplock bags are for a special purpose.  Troops will place the candy in the bags and drop from planes to the children of Iraq.  Hopefully this will help to change some negative opinions about Americans.  We are a loving, caring nation who wants peace and freedom for all.  Maybe this change can take root in the young minds of those who receive the candy and improve future relations between American and other countries.

                                                                                       Thanks,

                                                                                             Bobcat Members
