• Women's Economic Council Foundation offers three scholarships to graduating senior high school girls. To download an application, go to http://www.tennesseewomen.org/.  Deadline is September 8, 2006.
• Wendy's Heisman Award, go to www.wendysheisman.com and complete an application by Sept. 23.  Students must participate in at least one of the 33 sports covered and have at least a "B" average.

• Coca-Cola Scholars Program offers scholarships for seniors with outstanding leadership and community involvement. Deadline is on October 31.  To submit an application, go to http://www.coca-colascholars.org/.
• Outstanding Students of America applications are usually due by mid-October. An essay and a biography are required to apply for the $1,000 scholarship.
• Outstanding Students of America has a scholarship program available for high school seniors.  Go to http://www.outstandingstudentsofamerica.com/ to print an application.  Deadline is October 10.

• Target All-Around Scholarship is for well-rounded and civic minded high school students and college students under the age of 24. Deadline is on or before November 1, 2006.

• The UT Alumni Scholarship offers 2 year and 4 year awards that are due by November 1, 2006. Contact the school by calling 1-865-974-3011 or writing:  The University of Tennessee Office of Alumni Affairs, Tyson Alumni House, 1609 Melrose Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37996-3550.

• The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga sponsors a Society of Automotive Engineer Scholarship to students who are interested in the study of engineering and the related sciences. Deadline is December 1, 2006. Other universities may also offer SAE scholarships. Check with the institution if engineering is your career interest.

• Society Of Automotive Engineers Scholarship Program is for seniors who intend to enroll in an accredited ABET engineering program. Visit http://www.sae.org/students/engschlr.htm. Deadline is December 1, 2006.

• Toyota Community Scholars Program is for one MCHS senior with strong academic credentials, leadership qualities, and community service. Deadline is December 5, 2006.

• Burger King Scholars is for one MCHS senior whose GPA is 2.5 and who works 15 hours per week with plans to attend two or four year schools. Deadline is December 15, 2006.

• Phi Delta Kappa International offers scholarships to prospective educators. Deadline is January 15, 2007.

• Discover Card Tribute Award Scholarship Program is for juniors with a 2.75 GPA for their 9th and 10th grade years, and are giving back to their community. Deadline is January 9, 2007.

• Quinco/Community Research Corporation Scholarship is for students whose planned major is psychology, social work, counseling, nursing, medicine or sociology. This requires a GPA of 2.5. Deadline is February 1, 2007.  
• Boy Scouts of America National Eagle Scout Scholarship for an Eagle Scout with an ACT score of 26. Deadline is February 28, 2007.
• American Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture's Commitment to Agriculture Scholarship is for a senior whose family is actively engaged in production of agriculture, and who plans to pursue a career in agriculture. Deadline is February 15, 2007
• Sam Walton Community Scholarship is for seniors who aspire to continue their education at the college level. Apply online at http://www.walmartfoundation.org/. Enter store code 0218. Deadline is February 1, 2007.
• Lawton Ruritan Club Scholarship is due around February 28, 2007. 
• Monsanto offers one time awards of $1,500 to a senior who came from a farm family, and plans to major in agriculture. Applications are online at www.monsanto.com or http://www.nafb.com/. Deadline is mid-February.
• Student Insights Scholarship-This does not require a minimum SAT or ACT score.  This scholarship is open to all college bound students. It is essay based. Deadline is February 28, 2007.

• Ned McWherter Scholars Program is for high school seniors seeking full-time attendance at accredited Tennessee Institutions. You must be a Tennessee resident, have a 3.5 GPA as a second semester senior, and a 29 on your ACT. Deadline is February 15, 2007.

• National High School Athletic Coaches Association is available for athletes. Deadline is February 28, 2007.  See the coach of your sport. 

• Cargill Scholarship Program for Rural America is for seniors planning to enroll in a two year or four year school and whose family makes a living (at least 50%) farming. Deadline is February 15, 2007.

• US Bank's Internet Scholarship Program is for seniors who plan to attend accredited two year or four year colleges full time. You may apply online at http://www.usbank.com/studentbanking. Deadline is February 28, 2007.

• FFA Scholarships are available for seniors who have been actively involved in the FFA chapter. Deadline is February 15, 2007. See your FFA Advisor.

• National Wild Turkey Federation Academic Scholarship Program for students with a 3.0 GPA who support and participate in hunting sports. Due on or before February 1, 2007.

• Tennessee Burglar and Fire Alarm Association Youth Scholarship Program is available for children of active duty law enforcement and fire service employees. Call 1-800-829-6465 for information. Deadline is on or before March 1, 2007.
• McNairy County Education Association Scholarship is for students who plan to major in education. Deadline is March 31, 2007.
• Stephen Foster Music Club Scholarship is for students who excel in vocal or instrumental performance. Deadline is on or before March 2, 2007.
• Delta Kappa Gamma National Teacher Sorority Scholarship is for seniors who plan to become teachers. Deadline is Mid-March.
• Tennessee Education Association Sons and Daughters Don Sahli-Kathy Woodall Scholarship is for a TEA member's child who is a senior, undergraduate or graduate and is planning to enroll in a Tennessee college. Deadline to TEA by March 1, 2007. 
• The Tennessee Concrete Association sponsors an annual concrete essay contest for Tennessee students aged 16-18. Winning essays are entered into a nationwide contest in which entrants may win $5,000 if they chose to enroll in a concrete related curriculum at MTSU or $2,000 at the college of his/her choice. Deadline is March 31, 2007.

• The Rotary International Will R. Manier Memorial Scholarship Award requires an application with a written statement, evidence of leadership, a financial need, and extra curriculum activities.  The deadline is March 15, 2007.

• Scholar Athlete Milk Mustache of the Year (SAMMY) 2007 scholarship is available for outstanding scholar athletes. This application is only accepted online at http://www.whymilk.com/. Deadline is March 4, 2007.  

• Robert C. Byrd scholarship requires a 3.5 GPA, or 3.0-3.49 with an ACT score of 24, and SAT of 1090, or GED of 570. Deadline is March 1. 

• Tennessee Education Association FTA Don Sahli-Kathy Woodall Scholarship is for seniors which have a FTA chapter affiliated with TEA planning to enroll in a TN college. Deadline March 1, 2007.

• Leon B. Blasingame Memorial Scholarship is sponsored by the Aqua Glass Corporation for a student who will attend UTM. Deadline is March 15, 2007.

• Tennessee Education Association Minority Don Sahli-Kathy Woodall is for minority seniors planning to major in education and enrolling in TN college. Deadline is March 1, 2007.

• AmSouth Bank's Violet, William, David, and Ernest Hampton Memorial Scholarship is available for one senior who has financial need. Deadline is March 15, 2007.

• Chickasaw-Shiloh Resource Conservation and Development Council's Excellence In Agriculture Scholarship is for seniors who plan to attend UTM or Jackson State with a major in agriculture, ag business, or animal science. Deadline is March 30, 2007.

• Tennessee PTA Scholarship is for seniors preparing to teach or work in a child related career in Tennessee. For more information call 1-888-782-5712. Deadline is March 1, 2007.

• National Federation Of Independent Business offers a scholarship to an entering freshmen at an accredited two or four year university, college, or vocational institute who is nominated to a dues paying member of NFIB. • National Alliance For Scholastic Achievement is for seniors who will attend a four year college or university with a 2.75 GPA. Deadline is March 4, 2007, with a $15 processing fee.

• Dale Locke/Ramer Ruritan Club Scholarship is due in Mid-March. Parents do not have to be a member to apply.

• Drs.Forbes, Merwin, and Youman's Scholarship is for their former or current patients due in their Jackson office by March 30, 2007.

• The 2007 Prom Wishes by "P" Scholarship is a one-year scholarship that is awarded to a high school student graduating in the spring of 2007 who has enrolled in an accredited public or private college, university, or trade/vocational school. Deadline is March 31.

• Institute of Hair Design offers a $2,000 scholarship for students interested in the field of cosmetology. Deadline is April 15, 2007.
• Lakshmanan Ganapathy, M.D. endowment is for students who plan to enter a health career. Deadline is April 1, 2007.
• McNairy County Soil Conservation District’s Clyde S. Treece Agriculture Scholarship is for seniors planning to major in agriculture. For more information call 1-731-645-5466. Deadline April 21, 2007.
• McNairy Service Corporation Scholarship is for seniors with six or more vocational credits who plan to major in a vocational/technical field of study. Deadline is April 15, 2007.
• Jason Crabb Memorial Scholarship is for seniors who are members of FCA with a 3.0 GPA and ACT score of 20. Deadline is April 14, 2007.
• John and Mamie Droke Memorial Nursing Scholarship is for seniors who plan to pursue a career as a registered nurse. Deadline April 19, 2007.

• Jackson State Community College has the following three scholarships available. They are all due by April 1, 2007, and the student must have submitted an admission application.  1. Minority Incentive Award     2. Foundation Scholarship
  3. Academic Service Scholarship

• The University Of Tennessee School Of Art offers a scholarship which requires an application, a letter of intent, a portfolio of 20 examples, a slideshow, and transcript, and self-addressed, stamped envelope. Due by April 4, 2007.

• Minority Teaching Fellows Program is to encourage talented minority Tennesseans to enter the teaching field. This requires a GPA of 2.75, and an ACT score of 18. The deadline is April 15, 2007.

• Schering/Kay "Will to Win" Asthma Athlete Scholarship is for seniors with asthma who are outstanding athletes in one or more sports. Deadline is April 30, 2007.

• Dickson Presbyterian Technical School Scholarship is for seniors who plan to attend a two year technical /vocational school. Deadline is April 6, 2007.

• Dickson Presbyterian University Scholarship is for seniors who plan to attend four year institutions. Deadline is April 6, 2007.

• Jimmy Daniel Memorial Scholarship is for seniors with a 3.0 GPA and a 20 ACT with good moral character and a desire to attend college. Deadline is April 15, 2007.

• McNairy County Retired Teachers Association Scholarship is for seniors who plan to become teachers. Deadline is April 1, 2007.

• Labor Essay Contest: writing an essay about "What Organized Labor Means to Me". Deadline is April 8, 2007.

• Tylenol offers tuition assistance through many grants for students interested in a health related field. Visit http://www.tylenol.com/ for more information. Deadline is April 30, 2007.

• Maggie Grace Maness Memorial Scholarship is for seniors with a 3.0 GPA and 20 ACT who plan to attend college. Deadline April 15, 2007.

• Educational Communications Scholarship Foundation has requirements on GPA, activities, and financial need.  Deadline is May 15, 2007.

• Tau Kappa Epsilon offers a "Dr. Gilbert Fernandez Scholarship" to a young man planning to attend Tennessee Technological University.  This scholarship will cover the full tuition for the fall semester, and is based on GPA, school activities, and community service. Applications are available in the guidance office. Deadline is May 15, 2007.

• Dependent Children Scholarship Program requires that you be a dependent child of an emergency worker killed or disabled in the line of duty. Deadline is July 15, 2007.
• Beta Theta Pi offers two $250 scholarships for men planning to attend UT Knoxville or UT Martin. Deadline is July 23, 2007.
